The Lysefjord, or the fjord of lights, is one of Ryfylke’s most magnificent destinations. The 42-kilometer-long fjord was formed nearly 10,000 years ago when the last ice age ended. As one of Norway’s most photographed areas, the Lysefjord offers visitors spectacular views around every bend.

Do you have a limited amount of time in Stavanger but would still like to experience the region’s spectacular nature? Would you prefer to avoid the crowds and hike in near-solitude? The Lysefjord View Hike is a perfect trip for people on a tight schedule (cruise passengers, etc.) and those who would prefer a shorter, more peaceful hike.

Follow a dedicated private guide along rarely-used trails while hiking along the Lysefjord’s inner hillsides and through ancient pine forests while learning about the area’s unique flora and fauna. Enjoy spectacular views of the Lysefjord and capture unforgettable memories.

This is a privately-guided, moderately-demanding, 2.5-hour, 4-kilometer hike with a total ascent of 200 meters. Suitable for participants over 8 years of age who are in general good condition and have some (basic) hiking experience.
